This September, we took a different approach to mark a milestone: OVERCLOCKIN's 50th release. Instead of a regular club event, we took to the open sea. Against the backdrop of the Aegean, we gathered with friends, artists, and fans for an experience that felt as vast and raw as the music itself.
The idea of celebrating our 50th release on a boat started off as a lighthearted suggestion, something thrown around in conversation. But the more we thought about it, the more it fit. A boat on the Aegean, with waves beneath us and bass thundering through the night—it had everything we wanted: freedom, movement, and an intense connection to the moment. It felt like the perfect way to bring our music to life.
We wanted a lineup that truly captured the essence of OVERCLOCKIN, so we brought in talent from across Europe. From the UK, Jawker joined us with his intense Drum & Bass energy, while Slimey and Shado flew in from Italy, along with INFINULL to round out the bass-heavy roster. On the techno side, we brought Ate, Nana, and Armon Dee, each adding their unique sound and creating a balance that kept the energy flowing all night. The mix of Drum & Bass and techno set the perfect vibe, moving seamlessly with the setting sun and the open water.
Our DJs curated a set that perfectly matched the setting. Heavy basslines and atmospheric sounds echoed across the water as the sun set, and the vibe deepened as night fell. Every track seemed to carry a bit of the Aegean with it, amplifying the experience and drawing everyone in closer to the music.
While OVERCLOCKIN is based in the UK, for some of us, Athens is where it all began. The Aegean Sea, with its raw, expansive energy, felt like the perfect setting to bring our music to life. Celebrating our 50th release here was a way to reconnect with those roots, blending the power of the sea with the intensity of our sound. It was more than just a party—it was a nod to where we’ve come from and where we’re headed.
